WILL REFLECTS ON FIRST SEMESTER…

The program Eagle Up is made to enhance the reading, writing, and math skills of students at our school. Three days a week, thirteen students come together in our group and post book reviews that we have written on a blog called The Reading Eagles.  We also play math games every Friday.  My favorite Math Pentathlon game is Remainder Island, a game meant to make you use strategy and planning. The biggest challenge in Eagle Up has been getting through the slow, boring parts in a book.  Even with this challenge, I have become a much better writer, using more interesting words and learning how to excite the reader with the context.  My favorite thing about Eagle Up is Mrs. Herr.  She is kind and encouraging, and always pushing us to do our best.  Not only does she deal with us kids, but she also has put together an amazing, well organized blog site.  I hope to keep working with Mrs. Herr and become a much better writer next semester.
