In The Magician’s Nephew, there is a boy named Digory and a girl named Polly.  Digory is suspicious and clever.  Polly is very safe and follows Digory.  Digory and Polly find a secret room in the attic of Digory’s Uncle Andrew’s house.  A tall thin man appears in the room; he puts two green rings in Digory’s pocket.  Then he gives them both yellow rings.  POOF!  They arrive in another world and find a palace.  There is an evil wicked Queen in that palace and she follows them to their world.

I loved the way the author describes Narnia.  He always explains what is going on very well.  The part that is confusing is how the witch travels faster than the kids.  This book is exciting.

The people who would love this are people who like adventure.  This book is filled with magic and they even travel to different worlds.  There isn’t a lot of violence in this book.  The ages that this would be appropriate for are 9-13.
